Frequently Asked Questions
What types of services do you provide?
Click on Home Care on the menu above to see a list of the types of services we provide and the types of clients we serve. We also encourage you to call us toll free at (888) 488-9030 if you still have questions about whether or not we can meet your needs.
How do I know my caregiver is trustworthy and qualified to provide care?
All Unified Home Care caregivers are fully screened, bonded and insured before they are allowed to work with our clients. 95% of our healthcare professionals are also licensed. We take extra steps to ensure that we only employ the industry’s finest aides, therapists and nurses.
Do I have a say in choosing my caregiver?
Yes. Once our Registered Nurse has completed your free in-home assessment to determine the type of care you are to receive, you and your family will have an opportunity to meet and interview your assigned caregiver before any services are rendered. You may request a different caregiver at any time.
Will I always receive care from the same person?
Yes. Caregivers are assigned to specific clients and that is the person who will come to your home on a regular basis. This will help create a closer, more comfortable relationship between you and your care provider. If for any reason you would like to change your caregiver, simply notify Unified Home Care and we will immediately set up a time for you to interview another professional.
Do I have the flexibility to change the times and dates of my caregiver visits?
Yes. We can adjust the date and/or time of your next visit with as little as 48 hours notice. We will do everything we can to work with your schedule.
Does Unified Home Care provide services in assisted living facilities?
Yes. We can act as a supplemental care provider in facilities where services offered are not enough to meet a client’s needs and allow them to live independently.
How much do Unified Home Care’s services cost?
The cost will vary depending on the level and frequency of care you require. Costs will be clearly outlined and provided to you in writing once your free in-home care assessment is complete and before any services are rendered.
Does Unified Home Care have a minimum hourly requirement?
Yes. We require at least a 2-hour per week commitment from our clients.
Is there a maximum number of care hours you offer?
No. Unified Home Care can provide anywhere from 2 hours of care a week to as much as 24-hour, around-the-clock care.
What is the advantage of hiring a caregiver through Unified Home Care vs. hiring them directly?
When you contract for care through us, we do all of the legwork to make sure you are receiving the best care in the industry. You are also guaranteed a back-up care provider will be available in the event your provider is ill or on vacation. We handle all of the billing, taxes, insurance and other administrative responsibilities associated with hiring a caregiver as well.
How quickly can service begin?
Generally services begin with a 24-hour period. If necessary, they could begin the same day they are requested.
